SCA Group proudly supported an educational program led by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Monegasque Department of Education, which organises annual awareness trips to the Arctic for students worldwide.
This project, Students on Ice, involves a 15-day expedition to the Arctic, where students engage with scientists, educators, and Indigenous communities. The journey offers a unique, first-hand experience of the impact of climate change on the polar regions, deepening participants’ understanding through direct interaction with environmental experts and local knowledge holders.
The program aims to:
• Promote education for sustainable development.
• Raise awareness about the vulnerability of the polar regions.
• Inspire young people to become environmental ambassadors.
Over the past decade, more than 1,700 students have taken part in these life-changing expeditions. After the trips, they remain engaged through long-term projects focused on Arctic conservation. By combining field experience with continued involvement, the program builds a global network of informed and motivated youth advocating for the Arctic.
This initiative reflects SCA Group’s commitment to climate education, environmental responsibility, and empowering the next generation to take action for a sustainable future.
